Want to default to STROBE when turning on

Looking for a light that I can program to turn on in STROBE mode from the tail cap -- and will go to STROBE even if already turned on via a different switch. Prefer rechargeable & small enough to put in a belt pouch, but if we're making a list might as well include them all.

Would really like a slide switch or thumb wheel with tactile clicks so I can count to the mode I want (this switch sets only). A secondary switch for a non-STROBE mode would be nice. A "Hidden" mode is useless. Some lights have clicky head caps, but they seem to have more than 3 or 4 modes, which might be a PIA to count through and might get switched while the light is being carried or rolling around in a car.

Lights that do not have a physical indication of their current mode are undesirable; and pretty useless if carried in a vehicle where they might be used by different people.

I read a thread (which I have lost track of) where a policeman from Amsterdam (?) said he went to a manufacturer and special ordered one of their models to default to STROBE for his police force. Wish I could get one of those.

SO YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER WHAT PROGRAM YOU ARE ALREADY IN, AND THE SEQUENCE OF THE PROGRAMS... I CAN SEE THAT IT WILL REQUIRE CYCLING THRU ALL OF THEM A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE BEING SURE THAT YOU ARE STOPPING ON THE ONE YOU WANT. AND STROBE IS STILL NOT THE TURN-ON MODE.

With the head loosened about a half a turn, the light goes into the user defined mode. Switching the light on and off cycles through the different outputs: High, Medium, Low, SOS, and Strobe. This has a second tailcap switch that activates the Strobe. However, it seems that you must draw it correctly oriented or fiddle with getting your thumb to it. Should be a button with a RING switch (donut & donut hole switches) so the peripheral switch is under your thumb in any rotation.

The Ring should be normal mode & the taller Button the STROBE. If you mash both at once, it strobes.

Don't know how long the switch takes to activate STROBE either. Instant?

Quark tactical can be set to strobe at turn on, and twist the head for one other mode of your choice.

It's not so hard to activate the strobe on XT11,if you practice it will be easier to use it.But pressing the strobe button depends also of the fingers of the user.My fingers are very thin and I don't have problems activating strobe mode.The pocket clip helps for easier orientation of a flashlight in hand.
On Klarus RS11 using the dual switch is much easier but you have to find the switch somewhere on the side.

They all make lights with dedicated strobe access. Klarus comes out ahead for it's dual switch setup you may like.
