Yes the Malkoff Devices M60W is a very high quality product. The DX drop-in is definitely not bad for the money though.

I don't have the Dereelight dropin.I do have the m30wf and it is damn nice.I did notice that dereelight is overdriving the led at 1.2amps. Cree's data sheet specs the q3 5a emitter at 700mah. http://www.cree.com/products/pdf/XLamp7090XR-E.pdf.

If your interested in the Malkoffs just keep checking their site.They are a small but quality operation and sell out frequently.As soon as they have units available they will post them and they sell out very fast.

According to MrGman's integrating sphere readings, the Malkoff M60W is about 160-170 lumens (more at start up) while the Dereelight 3sm Q3 5A is only 146 lumens, which means that the M60W is a bit brighter.

There is a notice about that drop-in in Gman's post. He said his Dereelight drop-in was an older model driven at 1amp, while the current versions are being driven at 1.2amps. The extra 200ma should bring the output up around 160L, around the same as the Malkoff.

So in short, both the Malkoff and Dereelight should be really close in overall output. The decision comes down to beam profile, durability, and overall design.

I am looking for a really warm P60 drop-in for a 6P. At this point, are my options still the Malkoff M60W and the Dereelight Q4 5A?

The Malkoff M60W is hard to find.

Just wondering if any other manufacturers make the 5A tint dropins.

I just received a 6p light with the stock incandescent drop-in.

Also, being new, can you tell me if I could use the 3.7v 123A rechareable batteries with this drop in? I assume the stock light can only handle the primaries.

I'm very happy with my DX Q2-5A module. Its an excellent value. I use it with RCR123 cells.
