Weapon mounted hunting light

Will be using it for small varmint hunting (armadillos, rabbits, maybe a bobcat if im lucky)

Need a nice balance between spill and throw (shooting ranges between 10-150 yrds)

Needs to be compatible with a tape switch

Needs to run off cr123s or 18650s

Need a couple of modes not interrupted by use of momentary switch
-max
-(not required) somewhere inbetween low and max (would only like if the max is more than 250-300 lumens)
-lower navigating rough terrain mode 35-100 lumens or somewhere around there

Lastly trying to keep weight on the front end of the gun down soo yeah

Klarus XT-11 with tape switch, all functions and mode switching can be done with the tape switch.

I haave the Olight m21x mounted to my Mossberg tactical 22 with pressure switch and o light mount. It puts out an amazing amount of light. Im taking it hog hunting tomorrow night so we will see what this little 22 can do.

Klarus XT11 is actually a little brighter from spot to flood than the Olight M21X. Just puttin that out there. Both lights however are superb in performance:thumbsup:

What do you mean spot to flood? Dont temp me to buy another light haha! I was thinking the xt11 or the thrunite tn11? Which light has the most lux?

The thrunite TN11 does. But for me, UI (user interface) is the deal breaker for me which is why I chose the Klarus XT11. If your wanting throw and you want that sucker mounted on your AR... the TN11's a bad boy... I don't know about Thrunites pressure pad though if it has multi levels and can be set like the Klarus's ED10 configurable to the XT10, or 11. You might to check that out. Both lights have thier pros and cons. Personally I havent heard much from the Thrunite TN11 just that the UI is not the best for a primary belt light due to the whole head twisting UI VS the Klarus all tail activated. Check out both lights for sure. Again, if its staying on the AR15, set the UI to high and your good for the Thrunite TN11. Check em both out=)... oh and :welcome:

I know most varminters use a red or green light (depending on what they're after). Are you planning to use a colored filter or just go with a white light?

I use my T20C2 MKII with a pressure switch and a red drop-in for varmints with my bow. Works very well for me.

The Olight Crimson previously recommended is a good option.

A company called Elusive Wildlife Technologies sells a light called the XLR250 which is purpose built for night hunting. I had two green ones and they were good lights. They also come with all the accessories which is nice. They retail for about $140.

Dude, your not going to beat the interchangeable screw on filters from klarus now that I think about it indychris. And they are pretty nice.
