Are there any AAA lights that can, or are made to run on one 10440. And how about a 14500, are there any AA lights that can run a 14500?

Thanks

For the 10440, check out the Peak Eiger or Liteflux.
I keep 14500's in my wife's Quark regular AA and in my Jetbeam Jet-1 Pro.
Had a NDI that I ran on 14500's also before I sold it.
Peak El Capitain can use 14500's as well.

I run my Quark MiNi AA on 14500. The circuit can take it but the small body can't dissipate enough heat when in high mode, so I don't run it on high for more than a minute or so. But it's blazing bright for that minute! And I run it in low or medium otherwise

Myself and another member were discussing a light just released by Tiablo that takes 10440: the E3A. I have no information about this light other than they are available from one known North American dealer. (And that's all I'll say, lest my posting be confused with violating forum policy)

Preon 1 can also 10440 then look on the quote.

I run IMR10440's in a couple of my ITP and Maratac AAA lights - but I don't use Hi for very long (they get too hot quite quickly). Would definitely void any warranty though.

Nevermind, I just repeated what someone else had written.

I use 10440 for my LF2XT too as it's made to be used for that batt as well. My Fenix LD01 also runs on 10440 too (although long runtime on max isn't recommended).

I use 14500 basically for all Nitecore AA lights ie D10, NDI and EZ AA. And for my Jet 1 Pro v3 too. 4Sevens discourages the use of 14500 in their AA lights, but I think most of us do use it responsibly, so far so good.

Are you talking about the MiNi series, perhaps? Because the AA/AA^2/123 Quark head is designed to handle the voltage of a li-ion cell. They even sell AW 14500's on their website. I love using my Quark AA's with a 14500.

I love using a 10440 in my Liteflux LF2XT. It's expressly designed and optimized to handle them. Unlike a lot of other lights, the LF2XT does not shine like a super nova on max with a li-ion cell. It is designed to be bright but not so bright that it causes any harm to the emitter or the cell. Consequently, it has good runtime on max with a 10440 and can be run on max till the light shuts off due to the battery running down without fear of damaging anything.

Plus, it has some very cool features to protect these somewhat delicate cells, such as over discharge protection (which is especially important for 10440's as most are unprotected), and the ability to provide a "voltage report," (i.e., "display" the voltage remaining in the cell on demand to three places (e.g., 3.75) with a sequence of flashes).

When one combines features like that with a programmable UI (available if wanted but not required to be used), plus what many regard as a perfect beam and tint, it's easy to see why my LF2XT has become my favorite light even though it only is a lowly single AAA light, and why I'm looking forward to their next release of a new single AA light, which I'm hoping will be released before the end of the year.
