Hi,

I ordered a new sealed-in-box SureFire M6. It arrived yesterday, but the box had been opened. The light is in mint condition with the new mildly crenellated bezel. It has perfect appearance, fit, function, and beam--everything I expected. But it seems that some accessories are missing.

From old CPF posts that I have read, I conclude that a LOLA, a HOLA, a lanyard ring, a lanyard, and 6 SF123s are part of the M6 package that comes from SureFire. This M6 had no lanyard or HOLA with it.

I'm pretty sure that it should have a HOLA.

Should it have a lanyard?

My M6 came with a lanyard ring, but not a lanyard. I wouldn't hang this thing from my wrist anyway--too big.

Paul, definitely get in touch with Surefire and get hooked up for that stuff. Just look up the price of the HOLA for that baby! It should also say right on the website what it comes with.

On lanyards, I replaced the lanyard that came with my Z3 with black 550 paracord from Blackhawk and took off the little metal clip, looping the cord directly through the metal tailcap ring. Of course, this makes it decidedly UNSAFE as it will not break free if caught on something and 550 cord will take you with it if hung up. For what you'd invest in an M6, I'd probably want to make up something like a coiled pistol lanyard for that thing so it wouldn't touch the ground if dropped /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don’t think I would use the lanyard either.

Thanks for the info and ideas on lanyards. I have given some thought to carrying the M6 and I’ll probably pass on getting a lanyard. A small padded case fits my needs better. It would not help to contact SureFire about the missing items because that’s not exactly where I got it. If you're interested in what happened, you can check here.

Mine came with all the above including the lanyard, but again I have to agree it is too big to carry that way, I bought a pouch off of ebay that works nice.
