This is what ThruNite, Xeno and Spark call neutral white.

Maybe I still have a lot to learn but which one is neutral? 😀

Neutral whites somewhat difficult to pick up on camera... at least my camera cannot differentiate between neutral and cool white when taken separately. Warm white is very obvious and resembles a dim light bulb [CCT more on the yellow/orange edge]. I'd say its the fat guy on the right 😀

I hope you do realize that the warm lovers who set their computer monitors to 3200K are seeing all three of them as different shades of warm? 😀

Otherwise I'd pick the one on the right side too.

Nap.

I'd have to say the one on the right. The middle one has somewhat blue tint to my eyes, but that could be because of my monitor.

Cree typically defines "neutral" as the range 3700K-5000K. That is a pretty wide margin, so just saying neutral is often not that descriptive.

I have an LED desk lamp that has an SSC P4 rated at 3000K that is no where near as orange as the ThruNite is.

I just received the ThruNite today but after messing with it, I am starting to REALLY like that tint. I just spent a lot of time switching my collection over to neutral white. Hopefully the warm(er) white in the Neutron doesn't make me want to move all the way into the warm white on all of my lights.

Then steer clear of hi CRI LEDs then. I just built a 3000K 90+ CRI Streamlight and while the output isn't super high, it is just sooooo pleasing to my eyes.

You have no idea how bad I want to get a 90+ CRI LED to stuff in a host. I am scared that I will like it too much and start selling all of my lights off again.

Hi CRI everything will come, just give it time.

I'm counting on it. That's why I'm so hesitant to purchase new lights now.
In the meantime, I'm content to enjoy my HDS high CRI Clicky.

I would love a AAA or 2xAAA clicky light with a high CRI emitter (Preon?, Eiger?)

Like, one more year for high CRI n-w. Then another year for high CRI c-w.
So you will be waiting a long time.

I have to agree, but the pleasantness of the tint is worthy of the lumen sacrifice. My desklight runs a single high CRI XPG at 1A... its not quite bright enough. Two would be nice. 🙂
