It was reduculously expensive at $177 (My parents helped pay for it though

I bought an HP 49G for my son to replace his HP48 when he majored in Physics and Math at UC Berkeley. You're lucky to get it as, I understand, HP is exiting the calculator market.

I'm told that this was the calculator of choice for engineering students the last few years.

well, the coolest gadget i own is the Archos Studio 20, 20 megabytes of hd space, can store craploads of songs, and doubles as a portable hard-drive. also has updatable firmware. but i got it more like 8 months ago, so i suppose it doesn't really count...

Just got me a Sony Clie PDA. Though about a Pocket PC but decided to just stick with Palm OS. It has 3 white LED's for the backlight so I guess it qualifies as a light.

Probably my Garmen Etrex Vista. Tonight though, I bought a just released Logitech MX700 cordless mouse. Not cheap by any means but it tracks as well as any corded mouse I've owned and that's the first time I can say that about a cordless mouse. Rechargeable as well.
