I've got a bit of time on my hands and an itch to try something new with my laser pointers. Lacking inspiration or creativity.

Hoping that some one will have a cool laser experiment i can try. Hopefully something different from normal stuff such as matches, balloons, mirrors etc

If you want to get out of the "pointer" or handheld areana, cruise by photonlexicon.com. It is mostly laser shows and a little laser building...

I was tryin to find somewhere to put this... but... O well, I found this in the animation library I got when I recently bought the Pangolin intro kit. I think craig will like it most... :grin2:

That's not what Exveemon looks like... ;)
This is Exveemon, posing with one of my blue lasers:

:awman: Damn... They look the same to me. I have to go back throught the frames again.

And yes it IS what you think it is. It came with the software... :lolsign:

Pokemons and lasers hmmm...... Does that say something about laser enthusiasts or something about pokemons??? :)

A little late of a reply - but if you're still looking for some experiments - check out NOVA's experiment index at http://www.novalasers.com/info.html It's still a small selection at the moment but maybe you'll find a couple of things there you'd like to try.

I was curious about temperature. I will be experimenting with themometers and IR thermometers to see how hot the laser can make a probe (colored black, possibly?) in a certain amount of time?

I'm trying to get my 14 KV power supply running for my CO2 laser !! That kind of volts will reach out and touch you :huh2:

Mike

mike - that is some serious power. I'm waiting for pics or videos. Sounds like a real monster...

Steve --

The volts is high but the current low (15 mA ) !! Kinda like me and older age :candle: ..... Input is about 220 watts and output 15 watts ....

Mike

Here are some interesting ideas for you...

Melting butter, changing mood rings colors, heat shrink, long exposure photography, fiber optics toys from july 4 modification, cooking egg, ground match heads, powder from model rocket engines, temp of beam, creme brulee...

Is it possible to experiment in using laser to cut down trees? Or if use lasers to shoot the leaves down that will seem interesting and wonderful. :) welcome you to shenzhen-wholesale .
