What recharable batteries are best in the Nitecore D20?

I just ordered the Nitecore D20 and I got a pile of mixed alkaline batteries in a draw.
I don't dare risk using them(even though I'd never mix different brands or types). But still say wouldn't want to use one random Duracell with a 1/4 life in it and 1 random Duracell with 3/4 life in it.
Gonna keep them for 1 battery appliances.

Anyway if I do bother using alkaline batteries, I'll only use ones from an unopened pack and most likely Duracell Ultra as they last the longest for alkaline.

However I got a Uniross fast charger with 4 Uniross 2000mAh nimh rechargeable batteries, that I'll use.

But how much better would Uniross 2700mAh nimh be if say the torch wasn't used everyday?
As I'd probably use it once or twice a week.

And those Sanyo Enloop 2000mAh batteries I heard things about the have much lower self discharge. But over how long of a period of time? Would they make significan't difference over normal nimh batteries if not used for a week or so?
And I heard they have an ever performance than other mimh batteries or alkaline batteries in certain applications.
Would flashlights count as that certain application?

And can Enloop batteries be charged on normal chargers?

Last but not least, the Nitecore D20 says it can't be used with not Li-ion batteries.
So does that exclude the NON-rechargeable lithium batteries too?

Hello enforcer.

Eneloop and other Low Self Discharge cells is better for you if it is not very important to use your cells immediatly. Ordinary NiMh loose 1,7 % per day according to Silverfox earlier tests.

LSD cells will have 80-85 % of the marked kapacity efter one year of storage, they lose 10% the very first days just like every other NiMh cell but then they wont drop almost nothing.

Lithium cells and Li-Ion cells is not the same, Lithium has a voltage of 1,5-1,6 and Li-Ion (LiCo) has a nominal voltage of 3,7.

LSd cells is more robust than ordinary NiMh, it seems like they can stand more cykles too.

All LSD cells can use normal chargers but if you want the best you better buy Maha MH C-9000.
