I am a fan of surefire but i join the group late
so i only know about E2 and E2O exists in historical record:oops:
could anyone explain the difference between these lights?:sssh:
Photos are appreciated:naughty:

The E2E and E2O are the same except for 2 differences:

1. E2E has a short clip, E2O has a long Clip.

2. E2E uses the MN03 60 Lumen (1.25 Hrs) lamp, E2O uses the MN02 25 Lumen (2.5 Hrs) lamp

The E2 is the predecessor of the E2E and others but I don't have one and can't tell you much more about it.

Is the "E" when they added the clicky tailcap?

I have an E2O and an E2 Winelight, and both have momentary/twistie tailcaps, but my E2E and E2D both have clickies.

I have a few E series lights. My first two were the E2E and E2O both of which are HA (Green/Gray). I bought both new about 12 years ago. Neither has a "clickie". Both are what I would call the three flat sides style as opposed to the newer three rounded sided types.

The E2e / E1e features were enhanced compared to the E2 / E1 it replaced. The top three were:

- LockOut TailCap (the Clickie replaced the normal push-button pressure switch on the E2e much later)
- body-mounted PocketClip for extra strength and durability rather than a bezel-mounted clip
- Pyrex secured using a screw-down bezel rather than push-in snap fit Lexan.

Water-resistance was improved as a result of these changes.
