Mine would be the length of a REX 2.0 and the dia. of a 18650.Just think a little bigger than a cr123(dia).I guess what I'm saying is a REX with a 18500 battery with a simple UI low,medium,high.1500 mah batt with a SSC or CREE.AND A REGULAR CLICKIE.

My ideal EDC would be a light roughly half the size of a Jetbeam CL-E, that uses a CR-2 battery. I love the twisty head design and output of the Jetbeam. It also needs a good keyring attachment point on the base that would allow for a tailstand.

well...over all size, but I only wanted in 2 cell
for a person that EDCs the inova XO3...yeah, I use a holster:grin2: apparent any flashlight willeventually open a hole in your pocket, if its a surefire it will eat through the pocket

I think there comes a point when a light is just too small. Not when in your pocket but they can feel pretty awkward during use. Because of this I would say my perfect EDC size is the P2D. I also really like the size of the Jetbeam C-LE. It has a smaller diameter which makes it less obvious when in a pocket.

My maroon CR 2 Ion is perfect for me! A CR 2 Ion IS my EDC.

P2d ce for me .. awesome awesome and also did i mention that my p2d ce is awesome? its like a grain of rice in my hand compared to a G2..

You obviously haven't handled a Draco yet :grin2:

My best EDC light is an SSC modded HDS Basic 42... but it is a bit bulky in diameter. Most of the 1xAA lights are a nice size, but I think the C-LE is about perfect. It's the shortest 1xAA light I own and I really don't mind the twisty. The main one that I carry has a piece of foam in the tube and on the head so it's pretty hard to activate it, which I like. It's fine two handed and slightly hard one handed, but it will never turn on on accident.

Out of the three that I have, I have one that doesn't work reliably and have been thinking of modding it with a Flupic and a proper heatsink. Just think, should be over 100 lumens on momentary/high, and I'd set the medium to about 20 lumens and the low to maybe 4 lumens or so. Only drawback would be it doesn't run on anything other than a 14500.

It would be nice to have a Jetbeam C-LE-type light that runs on an 18650. Relatively thin aluminum and a twisty for almost the smallest possible 18650 class light.

+1 P2d, it's small enough to never notice it in your pocket (dont let it fall out accidentally!) but it's fine in my hand, maybe a wee bit short, but i'll take comfort in pocket rather than perfect hand size.

small enough not to obstruct my movements when its in my pocket.
not small enough to completely disappear or be unaware of it.
my perfect edc is my ti pd-s and for me its a perfect size. :)

I really like my C-LE light's. Also a CR2 ION as well. Also a Peak McKinley in stainless
or brass.

I really like 1xAA lights, especially the skinnier ones like the Inova X1 and the Liteflux LF1. They fit in my hand just right, with just enough of the bezel exposed so that my palm doesn't interfere with the beam.

My perfect EDC would be the sun.
Pros:
1. Hands free.
2. Lots of lumens.
3. Extremely long runtime.
4. It's free, and cost nothing to operate.

Cons:
1. It's only available 1/2 of the time
2. direct line of sight.

So for all other cases, I'll just bare in there with a keychain light.
