What\'s this Bianchi Sheath/holster

Hi Guys, I got this from my uncle who doesn't remember most anything now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
bianchi.jpg

This is a Bianchi Industries cordura holster? the barrel of this is 1 1/4" dia., 2 7/8" long. the sheath? is 8 3/4 long, 2" wide and the belt loop is 3 1/2" long. Has a velcro tie/snap above the barrel.
The nearest I can figure is that it's for a police baton?
I got this with a bunch of military stuff, alice pack w frame mre's, belts, ammo pouches, etc.
I checked Bianchi site and catalog.
I can't figure this out. Any ideas???
Or any other forums I can ask at?
I'm posting this at survival forum too.
Regards
Tom

Does it say Bianchi on it anywhere? It looks like a novelty Tobasco Sauce holster I've seen a few times.
I'm alsmot certain it's not a baton holder. There'd be no use for that smaller velcro loop if it were, same goes for a flashlight holster.

Yep, Bianchi International on the tag. I think it may be a baton holster. The type that has a handle at a 90 degree angle. I don't know what they're called. The loop would make sense to me as it will hold the baton from falling out. I guess. The modern police ones.
My question derived from the reasoning that My Unc wouldn't need this baton holder. I figured a GI flashlight. Nope.
Best answer so far seems to be the baton holder. Why camo?
