It is really easy for me to find 18 volts, it usually comes with 2 or three prongs 120 volts at a time :) Ok, what i need is a charger for my 12 NiMH batts for the forum light as seen in the incandescent forum. So where is the best place to find 18 volts DC? The power supply in the comp downstairs is only like 12 volts I think. IT said something about 5 volts and 12 volts, beats me. The other spare computer has the power supply hidden in a bunch of crap, can't get ot it. Radioshack has a $15 18/24 volt AC supply, but not only do I not want ot spend $15, I am not sure how to hook up a rectifyer. So is 18 votls just really uncommon or what? Anybody here have sources? Anybody want to check all of your wall warts to see if you can find an 18 volt one? I tried hooking up 2 9's, nope, don't work, and I still am not positive why. I also discovered that it is generally considered a "Bad Thing" to try checking voltage on a transformer but having it on the 320 mA setting. And also a bad thing to try testing the lamp but accidentally shorting out a lead-acid battery. So, I went to radio shack and bought spare 10 amp and half amp fuses :)
