Lake Tarli Karng (aboriginal for secret lake). It was created by a landslide and measures 1.2 by 0.5 kms. Nestled in the Victorian high country. Mecca for hikers. Inaccessible in winter due to snow.

Don't really need to go anywhere. Here is the view from my front door:

If my knees are up to the hike and I get time in the next few weeks, I'll go take a picture of my favorite secret lake which is in one of the valleys off to the right side of the picture above.

Below is our not so secret lake: The "secret lake" is about a three mile hike above this one, and about 3000 ft. higher elevation. It is smaller but much prettier and known to very few people.

Silviron, looks awesome. Are you sure it's not your holiday house. BTW care to share the name of the lake?

This is about as close to nature as I can get. A small island of plants on the Seattle U campus a couple miles east of downtown.

From another part of the campus. Note the curious organic flying machine near the tree limbs.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Holiday house? What's a holiday??? Nope, I live here full time. Grew up here, was away for ~25 years, but came to my senses and came back.

The name of the lake in the picture is Bonito Lake. I don't think that the "secret" lake even has a name. (Actually it is more of a pond, a hundred feet by about 70 feet, but absolutely beautiful deep blue water and a couple of BIG rainbow trout, surrounded by huge blue spruce and fir trees.) Lots of bears and deer, a few elk, and once (I know it is impossible) but I swear I saw a moose.

About 200 miles north of Dillingham, Alaska. No traffic (except for boats/float planes) and very few people. Lots of fish and game but a bit chilly in the wintertime. Definitely not a city folk place. A good place for flashlights, plenty of batts, and quality raingear.

Everybody has beutiful places, but mine is a dark, some glowy stuff, no scenery (landscapes) the other kinda scenery is everywhere!, strobe light/disco ball, lava lamps, very messy, lots of people and Scotch tape. Of course, my room! The walls original color was white.(Note to self: I gotta get a scanner!) I guess I can't show you my gorgeous room. to be continued....

Right now, I want to be on the Channel Island of Alderney, picking blackberries along the cliff paths as the sunsets above Telegraph Bay.

I wish I were in the Boundary waters in northern minnesota sitting in a We-No-Nah prism. I wish I had a scanner! I took a picture of a mother and her calf moose swimming across the lake right in front of our campsite, wow was that ever cool! My mom and I are always giving my dad grief about what attracted thost moose, because he was taking a nap at the time, and the moose must have though that wierd sound in the tent was another moose.
