Which E2(e)'s LA to use with Pila 168s?

Which E2(e)\'s LA to use with Pila 168s?

Can I (or should I ask: Is it better to) use MN01 lamp assembly in E2(e) when using Pila 168S battery as MN03 & MN02 are design for 6v?

for a message on this topic. Sounds like the PILA lamp is the way to go, BUT... I ordered one last week and got the lamp, but without the spring reference in the post above. When I contacted PILA (ESA) they claimed no knowledge of such a spring or of their lamps' compatibility with Surefire lamps in general. Watch out and ask questions before you order anything... oh, that's what you're doing! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

CAREFUL!

You'll instantly FLASH your MN01 if you pair it up with a 3.7V Copia/Pila... I don't recommend you do it, because I lost my bulb to doing the same thing, with putting an MN01 onto an E2e body and driving it off of a 168B...

You can certainly drive an MN02 or MN03 bulb off of a 168B(S), but it will not be bright at all, and IMHO, isn't worth it. It is best used with a KL1, or a McLux head, or an L4...

I guess you just save me to go out and buy a MN01 to destroy it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I have been using it in my L4. You can put it in a McLux? How about a ARC LS (LSH-P)?

Well, An Arc-LS won't be able to take the 150B(S)... The size is a little too big... But a McLux in a 2x123 body, or if you put the McLux on an E2e body, will happily take a 168B(S) and buzz right along...
