My lumapower mvp is not working I will have to send it in for repair.
Thinking about another light similar to it.
Considering jetbeam m1x jetbeam m2s sst-50 or the olight m30
Looking for something with a good mix of throw and flood. Also the smaller the better. Any suggestions? Thanks

M30 was my choice out of these. I like the pocket clip and I like the fact that you can actually pocket it since it is not too big. It is (obviously) very bright and seems to be well made.

i would definitely vouch for the M30. the flood is incredible and it does a fair job of putting light down range. the DBS is also a great one w/ the MC-E...probably the best balance of flood and throw i've seen from an MC-E. i don't own a Jetbeam but if your considering the M2S i would just eliminate the M1X from the list now. the M1X was designed for throw, unfortunately the MC-E is not the best emitter for this application. the M2S w/ an SST-50 would do this far better.

I bought my brother the warm white MG RX-1 from shiningbeam and am very impressed with the light, 3 modes with memory, runs off 1x18650. Its smaller than i expected but with its 53mm bezel, it throws very well with nice spill too. At less than $60 (before discount code) it is a steal.

Thanks for all the input. Just curious does anyone have a light they would suggest that I did not list? Something in the 700-1200 lumen range. Looking to spend ballpark around 120-300 dollars. Sounds like there will be some new lights in the near future that maybe worth waiting for.

Yes, the upcoming Maelstrom lights from 4sevens will be worth looking at in the lumen range you are requesting as well.

+3 on the M30 I traded mine because I really never used it oh how I miss it now and using 2x18500 is really nice, I got a little over 1hr on max and did not have to use the extension tube so it really wasn't that big. Very well made with nice beam.

If you are looking at the JB M1-x you should look at the upcomming RRT-3. It is a fatter light but the size will be comparable to the M1-x and is SST-50. BOG has it on thier site for preorder and after the discount code it came in at $260.00 with in your range.
