Future is looking brighter every night. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Any modders wanna give those a go?
I'm really looking forward to see what that brings. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Osram lists the white golden dragon as being in "preliminary" stage - so they're going to be hard to come by for a while.

The white Golden Dragon I received is a 1-watt LED, with a current rating of 360mA, and an absolute maximum (with excellent heatsinking) current rating of 500mA.
It produces a 120° beam, so I couldn't measure its intensity with the equipment at my disposal.

It's at the top of my SMD LEDs page, right here if anybody is interested.

I wonder how well these things will be able to be focused, and I wonder how well the color will be on them for flashlight use?

Can the 1-watt GoldenDragons be purchased anywhere yet, or are they not yet in mass production?

Now that I honestly don't know.
I simply received a mysterious envelope with no return address, and this LED and a spec sheet/flyer for it was inside. I don't know where the envelope is right this second, so I cannot inspect it or its contents to any additional degree. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Oh well, thanks anyway. Guess I'll try the distributors now and then. If I find a place to buy them, I'll post the info here of course!

I've been looking for this envelope for the last couple of hours, but I've so far come up empty. I don't think I got rid of it (because of the informational material in it), but that is a remote possibility. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
