I recently bought a G & P one cell extender and attached it to my Z2 so taht I can run 3 X RCR on it, but it doesn;t seem to work, as in when attached and running it on the 3 cells.... no light comes on even when the tailcap is fully screwed in... anyone knows why???

I even added some spacer between the batteries to make sure that it was not a connection problem but nothing seems to work...

ARGH!!!! why????

What lamp assembly are you using with that setup? Have you verified that it is good?

I assume your Z2 works OK as a two cell light, with a 6V lamp and without the extender.

This would mean that your extender is blocking electrical contact at one or both ends. You can check the tailcap end by removing the tailcap and using a piece of wire or a paper clip to short the negative battery contact to the inside of the tube. If it lights, the issue is at that end of the extender.

You may need to remove excess anodizing from the threads on the extender to restore good contact.
