Some customers asked why SC1 PLUS is not being able to charge 14500s or AAs, seems being a missed opportunity for these small batteries. As the SC1 PLUS is specially designed for big size batteries, such as new-fangled big 26800 batteries, also 26650, 21700, 18650, 1.2V NiMH D batteries, it can provide 3A/2A fast charging with a quick charge adapter. You know the suitable charging current for small 14500s, AAA/AAA batteries is around 200mA to 500mA. It may be too high current for these small cells. For charging safety, pls kindly keep your mini cells out of this fast charging charger.

For the usage, the SC1 PLUS charger can charge at home, also very suitable for ultralight backpacking & other outdoor activities. It's a portable charger with power bank function. Comparing to using the small capacity AA/AAA battery, just put one 21700/26650 Li-ion battery into the SC1 PLUS, then you can get around 5000mAh capacity for charging other mobile devices on-the-move...

Any other suggestions, welcome to comment freely.

So if I were to use a 250-500 mA powersource ( for example the USB output of a PC ) to power the charger I could charge a 14500 safely?

Hi there, this SC1 PLUS charger belongs to our fast charging series. If you use the smaller powersource, the charger may refuse to work, or heat up. If you need to charge the 14500 or AA/AAA batteries, can check our other compatible chargers. Thanks!
