Will a KL1 head fit on an E1 body?

I have a very early Surefire E1 "Exectutive:. will the Surefire KL1 led head fit on the E1 body? I realize I will lose the pocket clip feature and the finish wont match...

Bright enough but not too bright for momentary use during very dark conditions.

The KL4 head fits and works well too; this combination has become my EDC.

its probably worth the mod to put a 1w in the stock bezel
of an e1

prolly, oldeng. but that will be an expensive mod (E can, converter, 1W etc : $50) worth in modding. But the fun and the feeling is unbeatable /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I *think* that is all that you need, but dunno if ecan would fit in the E1 head.
However, you certainly need these:
1. LUX (obviously)
2. Converter
3. Optics (or you may cut your reflector yourself)
4. some all of the above's holder

I have not done this (no E1 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ) but Don (Mc Gizmo) did, so you may want to ask him for direction /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyway, of course that 660 mA will be brighter than the KL4, KL4's Lux just being driven with 620 mA (or so i ve heard)

It sure does drive people around like crazy. Those mods are really COOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

Thanks for the info. This site is a great resource. Unfortuknately it's gonna cause a dent in my budget. Iv'er already ordered an ARC AAA and a Pelican M6 based on what I've read here...
