I`ve modded my original Apex with an SSC P4 (loved that), and then with an XP-G. I ended up with a ringy beam that`s probably no brighter than my P4 beam, probably because I slightly damaged the dome with my soldering iron. I have a good MC-E handheld light that easily beats my current Apex in output. I have seen beamshots where an XM-L p60 drop-in beats an MC-E drop-in in the same host. therefore I conclude that if I could put an XM-L into my Apex, I`d get much better output than I currently get, if I don`t screw up the mod again.
Has anyone tried this yet? If anyone has done it successfully, please write up the parts list for this mod, and I`ll order the parts immediately.
