Will Li-SOCl2 work in a NiteCore D10?

I'm trying to decide whether to buy a D10 or EX10, and I'm leaning towards the D10 for the low cost of NiMH rechargeable AAs. The problem is, I'd like to keep a couple of lithium primaries that I can use in an emergency. I like the idea of using Li-SOCl2 for the energy density. Energizer's e2 lithiums will work, but they're only 4.5Wh, while the SAFT LS14500 is 8.82Wh. The nominal voltage is the same as Li-Ion, so that should be fine, I'm just wondering if it would handle the current.

I guess it's not a deal breaker, since the e2 AA has about the same capacity as a CR123, I would just appreciate more energy if I can get it. I'd imagine it would run for quite a long time on low with an LS14500. Does anyone have experience with these?

Of course, I should have just checked SAFT's web site. That's what I was afraid of, whith such a high energy density. I figured someone would have tried it, but it probably wouldn't even turn on at 70mA.
