This charger looks like it would be ok to overnight charge some 5000mah C's.
Would it also work for charging only 3 at a time?
What if each cell was worn down differntly?

I don't want top of the line, just need something to get the job done. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Judging by the description, it is a "timed" charger, not a "smart" delta V type. I would be concerned about overheating and over-charging. Take a look at the Vanson Speedy Box, BC1-HU from Amondotech. Lots of guys here use it and it works well. I also have a Vanson V-6988 10 cell AA/AAA, but I don't like it as much as the Speedy Box - it seems to take forever and the cells heat up a bit more than with the Speedy Box. The Speedy Box has 4 individual channels, will charge odd numbers of cells. I bought it specifically for my lights that use 3 "C" 4500mAh NiMH cells, and I have had no problems whatsoever. And, I think I paid $24 or so.
Hope that helps!

Hmm. I was hoping someone would say it would do ok... 24 is 12more than I want to spend... heh. I'll look into it though...

I have a radioshack 4aa charger that charges my AA's and it's a dumb timer one and it does just fine.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif
