I'm thinking about documenting building a CR2 from scratch. Post the prints and the sequential steps to make one. Don't know if I have enough webspace. Any interest?

I would absolutely be interested in your documentation of constructing a CR2. I have been reading and following the creation of many custom, lathe built lights here, to try and understand what is involved to justify my own purchase of a lathe. Maybe others here are in the same boat.
