So my question is this: given a P60 dropin module with a low/lowest binned SST-90 driven at 2.5 amps, would it be worth it to upgrade the LED to the highest binned? would the $50-$60 be worth the extra lumens? how many extra lumens might this provide? The LED now is labeled at 650 lumen, but i haven't had it measured. 2.5A seems about perfect as the heat is not unmanageable at this drive current, but would an LED upgrade make sense at this point? I know this is a subjective question based on how much is a lumen worth, but I guess i'm more wondering how many lumens this might add. The data sheet has it for 3.2A but not for 2.5A. Should I assume the same kind of jump in output potentially doubling my emitter lumens? Thanks!

IMO, driving a SST-90 below 3A is a waste of an SST-90.
I'd try to replace it with a high binned SST-50 if possible and keep the SST-90.
