I am wanting to run a cut-down 1xAA minimag with the Terralux TLE-5EX installed, with a tailswitch and 1x14500 power source. Would the 3.7v be too much for the TLE-5EX? Tried searching and just couldn't find it. Sorry if it has already been done, answered, and exhausted.

Looks like the range is 1.1 to 3.3 volts. It also says that lithiums should not be used which makes sense since 2 AA lithiums would give you around 3.4 volts.

Thanks. Had not seen the voltage input range on this thing before. Just out of curiosity, has anybody done this with a custom LED setup? Q5, heatsink, whatnot?

There is one that i have read about here on CPF, it's called the minimak and you can check this thread, http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=192481&highlight=minimak

It's a custom job, so if you want, you might have to either ask Wayne (ElektroLumens) or see if you can persuade someone to sell you one.
