Well, I got a Fenix 18650 2600 mAh battery today, it arrived with 3.74 volts. Now the Fenix battery has a slightly recessed "t" end, and a slightly protruding "-" end to facilitate better end to end battery contact. The problem is, the slightly recessed "t" end does not contact the "t" end tab on the WP2 II charger. SO, I had to place a small washer at the "t" end of the battery to charge it. The charge took about 3.5 hours, and after a 2 hour rest during my daughters cheer practice, the battery measured 4.14 volts. That stinks that I have to use a washer each time. Any input ???

I guess this is not a common problem? The positive charge tab on the WP2 II charger is oval, so part of the tab contacts the wrapper on the battery, keepin the battery terminal from contacting the charger terminal. Works fine in my Fenix light. I just don't like the idea of having to place a little washer between the battery and charger.

That's the trouble with these oddball non-button-top cells. You may find better results with a 'spacer magnet' for charging with. You'll want one about 5mm in diameter. I don't suggest leaving this on in the light, but it'll give more reliable contact in the charger.

My guess is that the Fenix chargers are designed to work with a flat top battery? I ordered the Fenix 2600 mAH battery because the tests showed it performed better than the Xtar 3100maH battery I already had.
