ordered kilimanjaro brass 7 led red "up-170cp", got brass 7 led mckinley.
what the hell? this wont use my rechargeable batteries, has anybody else had something like this happen?

I didn't know they were still selling the older 7 LED lights like the McKinley or Kilimanjaro, thought they were replaced with the Logan and El Capitan respectively?

RMSK still had a bunch of Mckinley's, not sure if that was old stock or what, but I bought the lot of them. Bulbman, just call peak, they will set you right; they're as straight shooting as they come.

I would like to know who you bought the whole lot from. It sure wasn't RMSK.
I do have some Mckinleys left some HP and some standard. That is right they have been replaced with Logans, also I never had any 7 led AA lights (Kilis) they were all CR Mckinleys
Sorry about double post tried to add quote on edit

Well, Peak either built a McKinley for me or found one in a bin somewhere, because I ordered one in July and received it about a week ago, so it's not quite dead yet.

Even though it's not the light the OP ordered, it's worth holding onto anyway. Someday there will be no McKinleys left.

I'm pretty sure it was. I ordered the last two off the bargain page from the RMSK website and got the shipping notice yesterday. (tried to order 4 but it gave me an insuficient stock notice)

Prior to that, I ordered and received another 2; all high power old style 7 led Mckinleys (key).

Granted, you may have more in stock that were not inventoried in the web ordering system... but as far as the site was concerned, I got the last 2 available. I may email you as I'd like to confirm if you do have more in stock; I'd be interested in how many and what the price would be.

EDIT: Sure enough, I went to the site and now see that 3 more are in stock. I wonder why I was limited to 2 the other day?

That's not what I call bunch 2. I do have some SS Mckinleys (2 or 3) in standard power left. They are now in the shopping cart. Just about out of those lights. I had over 100 at one time.
I still like the Logans better, not just because of the power but there is less to go wrong with them. 1 LED and the no other connections to worry about

Just to set the record straight before this gets out of hand - I just spoke with "Bulbman" I apologized for the mis shipment and asked him to send me the light back and I would make things right - he was upset about paying to ship the light back, I then offered to send him a self addressed paid envelope to return the light to us - I told him once I received it back I would ship out the correct light - he has declined this offer. Have a great day!!

Two things occur to me to say.

Thing one - I recently bought an HA Mckinley with Cyan leds - lovely - and sad if this is going to be discontinued.

Thing two - what colours can you get in the Logan - I would be VERY interested in red and others ( Oh, you know, amber, cyan, green etc etc.)

Thing three - Peak lights are very more-ish.

Thing four - I thought I said only two things occurred to me.

Thing five - I, too, agree that a swift call to Robyn will sort out any of your problems ( with the lights!), it even works from the UK.

Well I'm off to shine my lights around London a bit - Bike ride!

i dont even HAVE money for shipping, i have $0.00:broke: and why should i be expected to wait another month or more for what i paid for and should already have, THIS is what you call keeping your customers happy?:fail:

bulbman, Do you have Paypal? If so PM me your pp address and I will send you the money to ship it flat rate priority. The PO supplies the boxes for you all you have to do is pick it up.

I'd like to check out a McKinley Standard. Where is it on your page and how much are they? I checked the Specials/Clearance page and nothing there but the Ranier. I checked Mountain series and no older models listed there either.

If you remember I offered to send you a pre paid envelope to send the light back, once received I would send out the correct light - this was not good enough for you. Sorry that is how businesses work anywhere! No company I know of would send out a replacement item without receiving the original item back first.
