Refresh my memory as to what this is please.Just what the title says. I've got some old WA1185 lamps that have been languishing in a box and need to see some use
An option, and still readily available, is to use FM's ceramic Magcharger slug as a bi pin adapter. What I'm looking for is one of these: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/bi-pin-socket-for-mn-lamp-assembly-5th-run.284597/
They adapt almost any G4 bi-pin halogen bulb with an envelope of about T2.75 and under for use in Surefire turboheads. The WA1185 is an old T2.25 G4 lamp (and CPF classic hotwire) that can run off of three lithium ion cells in series. I have the perfect host (a Leef 3X18650 + KT4 head), but still need one of these adapters.
I just want to be absolutely sure I'm reading this right: FMs mag charger slug is compatible with the regular stock switch found in the alkaline D and C models? I don't think I fully understood your reply earlier because it sounded too good to be trueAn option, and still readily available, is to use FM's ceramic Magcharger slug as a bi pin adapter.
I bought one from him last year and it works in a stock Mag bulb tower (at least incands older than 2015).
Do you run that WA1185 with 3X18650's.What I'm looking for is one of these: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/bi-pin-socket-for-mn-lamp-assembly-5th-run.284597/

At the moment I occasionally run it on 3SX2P 16340 IMR cells (undercharged to about 4V to ward off instaflashing) in an MB20 battery carrier. I have a Tad Customs MN to G4 converter, BUT it's just kinda flimsy for anything over 10 watts and doesn't make the best electrical connection either. I would like to eventually run it on 3X18650 protected LiIon in my Leef 3S 18650 body but I'm not really committing to that until I get a socket situation that I'm really confident in.Do you run that WA1185 with 3X18650's.
