I would add 6Z to your list. Z2 predecessor. I don't have one to spare, but it's a fantastic light to hold, one of my favorites + it's usually really cheap

If you're not familiar with the AZ2, it has the gas pedal tailcap and two sets of emitters similar to the A2, with two beam patterns: the outer LEDs on low provide flood, and the inner LED turns on in high mode for a tight, focused spot.

You are right, not much of detail guy when it comes to lights….so no clue to what's a gas pedal tailcap. I'm just wanting a good solid light without too much fuzz! Some of these lights required too much attention, but old school mag lites that did well for so many years for me…seems a bit dated now in power.

Gas pedal means a soft press activates the four floody low power LEDs and a firm press activates the tight spot LED in the center. There's no click or detent in that button. Constant on for low or high requires a twist of the tailcap. A bit more involved than a maglite
