Now that I got the "new" Legend LX focus figured out, I am wondering if I need to stock up on bulbs now. How many hours these bulbs are rated at? Thanks.
My decades of experience with all types of lamps has lead me to stocking one or two spares for my most used lights. Lamp life is all over the map whether it's inexpensive or costly.
they can be all over the map, i have had surefilre bulbs last me less than 10 hours and i have had the same bulb type last well over 30 hours. Mags were the same, i have blown those mag star bulbs within the first 4 sets of batteries before but i had one in a old mag 5D that must have seen 30+ hours by now. I think its just luck of the draw.
I agree, I've had bulbs blow with less than an 1 hour total usage, but a lot of brief momentary on/off usage, etc.
Sometimes I think it's how I handled the bulb when I replaced it. Banging the flashlight head around too much. Who knows? Haha, always carry a backup piece /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
