Xenon Bulb Question

What would happen if I took a 7 watt xenon bulb meant for a 7 C/D cell flashlight and put it into a 2 D/C cell, would it cause any probelms?

I was wondering if it would fit because I haven't seen if they are larger, but I'll wait for a response from you guys.

If it would fit, the 7 cell bulb would at most glow dim yellow, since the voltage is way too low... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Yea indeed, but you can try to put 4x123 in the mag, then you'd have 12v, and the bulb is 10.5v, so you'd overdrive it.
But if it works, i think it would be pretty bright.

You might damage the reflector if you did that. Maybe you'd need a metal reflector and a glass lens.
