The XM-3 says it is volatge regulated. Since I'm new here I would like to know if that means it will be of the same brightness level from start to finish. That is, will it only start to dim once batteries are almost dead. Or will it start out bright and diminish slowly?

I'm considering buying one of these for a AA luxeon based light and would like to know.

Thanks.

Typically, regulated lights stay bright for some time, then crash to a much less but still somewhat usefull level.

Of course Lithium or NimH cells do pretty close to the same thing in other lights....

I am PUMPED to have an XM3 on preorder. Heck, go ahead and take the plunge... you could always sell it off on BST if you aren't thrilled with it!

Oops, just found the thread in the manufacturers threads that answers my question. Thanks for the response PlayboyJoeSchmoe.
