Xtar 18650 Question

Candle Power Forums

Help Support Candle Power:

I'm going to go with: 'What is it a Sanyo sourced cell' for $500, Alex?

You can always Email them and ask, just to be sure.

Chris

Thanks Chris. I have posted on their thread over on CPF Marketplace asking so will see if they reply to the question.

XTAR said they use China domestic cell, not japanese/korean cell. But they not informed which brand. (maybe BAK?) Fenix use chinese BAK cell, type C18650CC, very similar performance as Sanyo 2600mAh, look at this,

Sanyo UR18650FM vs BAK C18650CC

Thanks for that information I had been told different things about these cells.
Interesting info in the links you posted too which is helpful.

This is a newer offering by Xtar. It is a lower price alternative to the Sanyo - Panasonic based cells. Xtar still offers the better cells.
