I'm looking for a good 2 cell charger, just like the VP2 was. What's the closest alternative to it?

I'll be interested to see suggestions. The pair of VP2s that handle the bulk of my day to day charging needs can't last forever, and I can't say I've seen what I consider a proper replacement. Things such as manually selected low CC charging levels for small cells and LFP compatibility are mandatory for me. A brand I'd heard of before last year (edit: one with a good track record / reputation) would be nice too.

EDIT: I should also mention that I'm not interested in something USB-powered. I prefer 12V to 5V when practical.

Maybe XTAR VC2 or XTAR X2? People here seem to like the Fenix ARE-A2. But the closest alternative available today is probably this.

Thanx for the reminder. I was aware that they weren't completely extinct (yet) and a few were still in the pipeline for sale, and your note prompted me to get off my rear and order one while I can. I'm not in the habit of reinventing perfectly good wheels without a good reason, and this is a good case for that. Ordered. Now I'll have N+1, so I'll sleep better:).

There are a few NOS (new old stock) items in the newer packaging, for not a lot, over on Ebay.

I was probably one of the first here to get my VP2, but it was soon recalled due to a plastic formula that could become brittle in colder temps.

They sent me a new one, but it was a few weeks.

I love it so much, I bought two of the fresher models and put them away.

Although I mostly use my Opus BT-3400s (v. 2.2/v. 3.1) now, I think the VP2 is a stellar, albeit 2 bay, charger.
