Hi guys,

as I am new to the flashlight community, I have to admit I'm checking this forum on a daily basis already. It's very good to hear and read all these nice stories about flashlights and such.

I have question. For my flashlights I'm looking for 18650 batteries. I currently use the Ultrafire 2400 mah (grey) batteries and they do just fine. But, I'm looking for some more reliable gear, and I have seen that Xtar have the 2600 mah 18650/18700 based on a Sanyo cell, and the new ones: 3100 mah based on a Panasonic cell.

I charge my batteries on a Pila charger. Have you already have any experience regarding the Xtar cells?

Looking forward to hear from you!

The XTAR batteries appear to be very well made. However, I just personally purchased 12 of the XTAR 2600 batteries and the diameter is too big to fit in all but one of my lights. The length is basically the same as most high capacity protected cells but the diameter will not allow the XTAR batteries to even go in the hole of my lights. Here are the lights I have that they won't fit into. Thrunite Catapult V3 neutral white, Lumintop TD15X neutral white, Spark SD-460NW, Spark ST-460NW. They do fit in my Dereelight DBS V3 and also fit in the new Solarforce L2T and L2P.
