Has anyone ever seen this very kewl looking Yellow Camoflauge M*g AAA?? Here is a link to a picture... AAA Camo Pic
I called the distributor who said that he didn't 'think' they made them anymore. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I would really like this light for my first M*glite, if it is available. Anyone?

"...the Mini Maglite® AAA has been equal to that of the larger flashlights. This is due in part of its superior optics and custom reflector)..." Interesting, has Mag changed their product lately? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crackup.gif

Is it really a yellow camo Mag, or an off-color pic of the regular camo?

Re: Yellow-Camo M*g AA

The best color ever on a MM was yellow. It was called 14 karat gold! Wish I had one...

"Less than an ounce and about three inches in length, the Solitaire offers the same precision engineering found in every Mag - Lite®. Using only a single AAA battery, its focusing beam is surprisingly bright for such a small flashlight. A spare Solitaire lamp is included in the tail cap along with an Energizer battery and a sturdy key lead. It's also ideal for a key chain or purse."

You could use all the different color maglites as Christmas tree ornaments. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: .

I took my Solitaire out of retirement last night to play with it. It is *BARELY* enough light to prevent you from scraping your shin 50% of the time in a place that you are already familiar with (probably odds are reduced to 10% in an unfamiliar location).

Then I pulled out the U2 and let it walk all over the Solitaire. I CANNOT BELIEVE I EDC'ed that Solitaire for 4+ years! It's amazing that it ever worked at all!

There's the ceiling bounce test we do to compare lights of different beam patterns. Point the light up to the ceiling without looking at it, then look around and see how well the light illuminates the area from its reflection. Turn it off and try the other light.

I pointed the Solitaire up, turned it on, and I noticed the room didn't even start to get brighter. OTOH, the U2 bouncing off the ceiling on level 6 looks like someone flipped a ceiling light on. It's brighter than some small flourescents!

In the meantime, small keychain LEDs have eaten the Solitaire's lunch - brighter, smaller, more reliable, and lithium powered.

Re: .

Was that a shameless plug for your keychain lights or the U2? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There needs to be a yellow Mag. What's up with that company?

Re: .

Plugging the U2, gotta love the 100+ lumens /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif it was more of a comparison looking at "state of the art" yesterday.. and state of the art, here now and today. I should take a pic of both of them together.

What I was thinking of is that there was no way I could give away a Solitaire in today's time and age, nor any reason why I should. If my recipient ever got a chance to compare, they'd smack me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
