Regarding the H51 interface, this is what's published by Zerbralight:

  • High: H1 200 Lm (0.9 hrs) or H2 100 Lm (2.4 hrs) / 140 Lm (1.7 hrs) / 4Hz Strobe
  • Medium: M1 30 Lm (12 hrs) or M2 8 Lm (39 hrs)
  • Low: L1 2.5 Lm (3 days) or L2 0.2 Lm (16 days)

The High1 mode is a constant 200 lm output.

Is the High2 mode a constant 100 lm output, and can also be configured for a 140 lumen 4Hz strobe? But you can't configure it for 100lm strobe? Or is that two level strobe brightness, but no constant illumination?

I'm sorta confused.

I don't know which output level the strobe is at actually... I would assume it's at the max, 200 lumen, output level, but I'm not sure. Best email them and ask.

Yeah, it's easier in practice than on paper. For each level (Low, Medium, High), you get the choice of two different sub levels. For Low and Medium, these sublevels are hard programmed. For High, however, only one sublevel (200 lm) is hard programmed. For the other sublevel, you can choose between 100 lm, 140 lm, or a 4 Hz strobe. Does that answer your question?

That makes sense, thanks. Sounds like a great interface. I can't wait to try it out for real.

It is... at first, before I got a ZL I thought it might be too complicated, but it's very easy to pick up and is very versatile. It's my favorite UI of any of my EDC size lights now. Never thought I'd find a UI I like better than the Jetbeam IBS system, but ZL has it.
