Zebralight Hot Pockets!

Love my zebra- hate the hot pocket! Think I'm going to hardware store for an o-ring and JB weld.

I just used super glue, less messy and hassle. I Put a generous amount on the flashlight, laid on the o-ring and wrapped it tightly with string and let it set for and hour.

Thanks, Greg -good advice. I tried that and expanding the spring at bottom as some have found the spring becomes compressed over time. Still no go and the light is way out of warranty. To make things worse, I just lost my other EDC light. I feel naked. No hot pocket for sure now :(

If this happened with even a crappy $3 light from KMart, I would take it back and get something that works.
There is absolutely no excuse for that.

Early this month when I got an SC51 I emailed Zebralight and asked if they have considered revising the SC51 switch like they did with the SC600 switch, which I like a lot better. ZL responded that they have planned to revise the SC51 / SC31 switches but did not know when that would happen.

It's about impossible to even find a Zebralight right now. They're sold out everywhere.

I hope they do this. The sensitive switch is my only issue with this light, although a minor one. To me an EDC light is something that is constantly carried but seldomly used. The time it takes to turn the tailcap is really a non-issue. If I expect to need light more frequently, I'd take a bigger light with me that would definitely not ride in my pocket. I'd still have the SC51 as a back-up, though.

I personally have had less than a handful of issues with the hot-pocket problem with my SC50w+ and I carried it as my go-to pocket EDC for the last year and a half, up until a couple of months ago when I got my HCRI Quarks. But, I miss the ZL side switch and form factor and am considering springing for one of the SC80c's. Anyone have any issues with the light? Hot-pocket or otherwise?
