Krypton II

I've just picked up a "Limited Edition" Eveready Super Dolphin (F102) torch for $5. It claims that it uses a new Super Krypton II bulb which is 60% brighter than a regular Krypton bilb. It also uses a lot more power compared to the original Dolphin torch (4.8v/1.1A vs 4.8v/0.75A).

Does anyone have any info on this new bulb or is it simply a standard Krypton which draws more power?

Krypton is Krypton ... the difference between Krypton bulbs is the gas pressure .. higher pressure being better. They probably either got a higher pressure bulb and/or increased the current draw. Being Eveready and having an interest in selling batteries ... probably more of the latter.
