I can't find X1 tint. All the tints rae in xx format and not x# format.

BTW, is this a good bin of Luxeon star? This is out of a $19 cheapo light. It is the star type with emitter mounted on factory star heatsink, which is then attached to another piece of aluminum

I don't like X1 - can be greener (but may not) :green: but tints are all about personal preference (I like W0, V1, WA, XO - wait, I really don't mind tint unless it's a greenie, and I haven't see one of those in a long time). R-bins are usually very efficient (bright for power used ratio), and J's a good (low) Vf to have.

As far as 1 watt stars go (which it seems you have), the R-bin is the best readily available bin  . The X1 tint is subjective, some find it nice and white, I on the other hand, am more partial to X0. J Vf is a nice low range, not as nice as an H, but better than the others. To me it would be OK. Desireable for me would be RX0H or RW0H, but I'm REAL picky :p .
