The following messages is came straight from ZWEIBRUEDER LED LENSER:
As our principle, the final decision of the upgrade reflector for our products shoud be:
a). Items: 7461, 7946, 7957 (need reflector with diameter 25mm)
existing reflector is Fraen diamater 25mm with hole.
but the upgrade reflector is Datasensor reflector diamater 25mm, more shorter and without hole.
the Datasensor reflector can upgrade the light beam efficiency of our products.
1). Upgrade the light beam Luminous Flux about 10%;
2). Upgrade the light beam's Intensity of illumination.
Such as,
1.25W white LED with Fraen reflector is 27Lux under 350mA current and 5 meter distance.
1.25W white LED with Fraen reflector is 0.5Lux under 500mA current and 50 meter distance.
1.25W white LED with Datasensor reflector is 47Lux under 350mA current and 5 meter distance.
1.25W white LED with Datasensor reflector is 0.9Lux under 500mA current and 50 meter distance.
PS: We will keep the same unit price of the above products like before.
b). Items: 7736, 7737, 7731, 7764, 7767, 7730, 7798 (need reflector with diameter 20.8mm)
existing reflector is Fraen diamater 25mm with hole,
and we need to grind the circle from diameter 25mm to 20.8mm.
we will also use Datasensor reflector (diamater 25mm) to upgrade the existing reflector,
(NOT fr0g-eye (7436) 20.8mm reflector, because it is so difficult to make the focus in center.)
and we also need to grind the circle from diameter 25mm to 20.8mm.
about the quality control of grinding process (hand touch trace and dust),
The uprgrading starts January 2006, so most of the retailers, sellers (coast), shops etc. only starts selling in late February to March 2006.
New products came out in 2006 already upraded.
i noticed in the upgrading is:
the light get more focused and more far.
