luxeon vary a little from each other of course, but i think that generally, for the greatest overal brightness, i would get a madmaz...

Thanks logicnerd and rothrandir. However, if I am not mistaken, you must send your flashlight to dat2zip in order to have it modded. Is this correct? Also, are there any other retailers that carry inretech conversions who accept credit cards? (I don't have Paypal)

plane, no, you buy a drop-in sandwich and convert your own minimag...by simply dropping it in.

I am in the market for an easily acquirable, no hassle, under $35 LED Mini-Mag mod (Preferably red). Does anyone have any suggestions that meet the above criteria?

Try Inretech , they make a red drop in adaptor for the Mini-Mag.

Try the MadMax(in white, though) from dat2zip for $30.

Also, I have seen a beam picture of the Red/Orange version at the LED Museum, which is listed at just over 4 lumens. Is the regular red version noticably brighter, or is this simply a variance caused by an alternate wavelength?
