I intend to buy a LOP but wouldn't mind trying the ultrafire AAA mostly outta curiousity, and running my 3.7 Li ion's in the UFxAAA.(and thus if it get's cooked, I'm not out a bunch $$ and still have the LOP)

I intend to use a E92 lith or a mimh in the LOP, could someone that own's both give me a quick comparison of beam tint,throw/flood and brightness differrence's on nimh or lithium primary batt's between both?

And has anyone found a non e-bay source? (MO pymt needed) VDG

Hello,

I own myself both light. The Ultrafire WF-602C seems to be specially regulated, cause NimH, EE92 and LiON give about the same lightoutput.
Current with NimH : 1A, EE92: 1,5A, LiON: 0,5A
EE92 seems to be the brightest, but not noticeable without side by side comparison.
The UF has a larger hotspot without corona and a large spillbeam, it can be focused to a thighter hotspot with some artefacts in the corona.
I prefer the lager hotspot.
Maschining is good, but the threads are a little loose, but smooth.

I would buy it again.

I used a AW protected 14500 LiON cell and measurement connexion.
Current draw was 0,5A. ID is 10,95mm so AAA cells should fit.
Do not use LiON cells for LOP, the circuit cant handle it.

thanks for the current ma.Yep i knew i couldn't use the 3.7 li AAA's in the LOP, one reason i wanted to try the UF. one Q, how much brighter does the li ion make the UF, next to it on a std 1.5 AAA and the LOP? Be cool for a pocket light to be real bright and rechargeable for around the house/yard. I got a Peak shasta for that now, but I what one that will throw outside too. VDG

To my non calibrated eyes it's about 30% brighter on LiON.
But don't expect too much, this isn't a "pocket-rocket"
I have never used it outside but will try tonight, to find out if it is usefull or not...

edit: It's dark outside now, both lights are good for walking around the house.
Up to 10m (30foot) i saw my white cat, but where is the tabby cat ?

I ordered a UF WG-602D a few days ago, this one should be really bright, like the Fenix P1.
