First of all, i would like to know if this light can take rechargeable 3.7V considering it's already being driven quite hard on primaries. Or better still, can it take 18650?

Secondly, if im used to using the throw of a SLPP 3C Lux will i be find the 2390 lacking?

Alright, so does it mean if it works with Pila 4.2V then it will also work with the AW 18650 3.7V from lighthound?

Is 2x RCR123 safe?

Works fine with 17670, but 18650 may be too wide (haven't tried it myself though, so I can't say for sure). It has a buck circuit, so 2x RCR123's will work too.

Thanks for the info vtunderground

Any idea what voltage the buck pulls to?

If it cant handle the 7.4-8+ volatage of 2x RCR123 will it go dd like the Nuwai Q3 and cause accelerated degration?

i don't know why the heck would anyone use the 2 x rcr123

when the 17670(or 18650 if it fits) has alot more capacity resulting in a longer runtime.

and since your luxeon's Vf should be lower then 3.7V(unless unlucky) the brightness lvl should hold really really well.

The voltage of a li-on cell drops bellow the Vf of the led. My KL3 dimms significantly when used with a single 17670 cell.

i use mine with a r123... and it works great, i'd say runtime is about 40min.
