What I would like to know is how many of you do this and has anyone had any problems?I tried it with mine and the driver feeds 1.24a to the LED on high

I had at 352L and it worked fine with 2 RCR123's. I do believe that it is overdriveing the lux V on high. Is that actually 1.25 amps to led, or amps measured at tailcap? I tried measuring at tailcap and it is tricky, though with help I was able to get reading at the different levels.

I found that the high mode, using two RCR123 (unprotected), did not support regulation, and output dropped off fairly fast. Medium and low modes did support good regulation.

You guys talk about 3.7V RCR123s, right?
I use 3.0V RCR123 without any problems.

Those should be fine. The light's fully regulated IIRC. They come in different flavors though. I've seen 650 Mah 700 Mah & 900 Mah. I don't know if these people are giving accurateratings of their batteries though...

I am using 2 powerizers RCR 123.I didn't mesure ma's at the batts.I mesured the 1.24 on high when I was changing the star out.I know a lot of you guys are going to laugh at me but I installed one of AW's XX1S stars in my nuwai.

BTW an X bin @ 1.24ma's is BRIGHT.I just use high as a burst mode.
