6 to 12 or 18 D cell maglight

I have been wanting to lengthen my 6 D cell maglight to 12 or 18 cells does anyone make a coupler to screw them together ?

By all means! Stretch that thing as long as you can. Folks here like poking fun at my 9D Mag447. Now there will be new "Freud" joke fodder.
I managed to find a couple of folks here that sold me a couple of 3D extensions. You'll have to post some inquiries in the WTB section.

Hey this might sounds funny but now that I am thinking about it has anyone ever cut down a D cell maglite? To a 1D mag?

Im sure he will post pics when done but after 7 posts im surprised no one answered his question.

Sure there are extenders made for mags, but you'll have to ask in the modding section

You may need to look into reinforcing if you get up near 18 cells!

The closest thing I ever remember seeing to a mag extension is by 'Fivemega' for the Mag-Charger.

Thake a look at this link and see what you think.

You'll need a hell of a lot of em though :laughing:

You could really do with finding a machine shop that can do Mag threads and re-work some 6D Mag bodies.
I'm sure you can buy replacement body sections as spare parts from Maglite.

Yes it would be 6 times longer than a 3D mag.

He might mean that a 12 or 18 D cell Maglite is needed.
