Are Ultrafire Li-Ion Batteries protected?

Particularly, the model TR18650?

Also, the new Ultrafire charger has 4.2V/450mA output, while the DSD charger has 5.5V/450mA output. Will the difference in output voltage affect the charging of 3.7V Li-Ion cells?

There are a few good looking multi-charger and battery packages on eBay, just wondering if anyone know weather Ultrafire batteries are protected?

Thanks :)

I see, which are the ones u are using?
Any of the newer 2400mAh 18650, like the following?
The description says "The voltage of full charge and cut-off discharge is 4.2V and 2.75V", does that mean anything?

This statement sounds like the recomended charge and discharge cut-off and is not indicate a protection circut.

I use their 3v CR2 (in my ion) and the AA's. THe AA lions have the same comment writen on the cell. No circut is present in either the cr2 or AA cells.
