epoxi putty heatsink

Hi everyone,
can you make an entire heatsink with epoxi putty for luxeons? Has anyone tried it before?

Thermal epoxy has terrible heat conductivity when compared to metal, the only reason the stuff is used is to hold stuff together and eliminate airgaps between components and their heatsink, by no means is it very good for disipating much heat.
