Cree, XR-E or XR

Is there a difference in these?
If yes, what is different?

Yes, there is !
The XR-E uses the EZ-1000 Chip and ist brighter than the
XR Diode.
I think the XR is using the EZ-800 Chip but i´m not really sure.

You can compare the specifications at the Cree Website. :grin2:

There are also Datasheets of that both.

the older XR also features another beam pattern, so optics for them (which are available in masses) are not useable with the XR-E
